North Baltimore County Neighbors Supporting Our Community's Students

A group of caring neighbors started My Neighbors Foundation (MNF) in 2005 as a way of helping Hereford Zone students in challenging economic circumstances by providing them with the materials and or funds needed to participate in school activities.   Living in this beautiful community, we can be blind to the needs of students who feel invisible or embarrassed because they cannot engage in what so many of their classmates take for granted.  Our students need to know they are valued and supported.

MNF works with school teachers, counselors, and school administrators to identify students who would normally keep their needs to themselves and, consequently, be deprived of opportunity.  Students are qualified primarily by current participation in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program (FARM) or by meeting other financial criteria.  However, we also accept students in need on a case-by-case basis with other special circumstances.

MNF trustees are your neighbors and our Advisory Board is comprised of school representatives who are acquainted with local education.  We raise money in the Hereford Zone, and we spend it in the Hereford Zone for the benefit of our students.

We support those students attending the following six designated Hereford Zone public schools:
